Ordering on Our Website & Delivery

We offer home delivery throughout France via Chronofresh to ensure the freshness of our products.

If you live near our production facility, you can pick up your order in person. Our team will be happy to hand-deliver your order to you. Here is our address: 32 Boulevard du Port, 95000 CERGY. Open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Orders ship from our workshop on Tuesdays and are typically delivered on Wednesdays.
You will receive a Chronopost tracking link so you can track your order and, if necessary, change the delivery date.

Our products are fresh and shipped via refrigerated transport.
👉 But the more you order, the lower the price per item: combine your orders to save! Shipping is free on orders of €50 or more.

Payment & Billing

Payments are processed through Shopify Payments, which accepts major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and instant payment methods (Shop, PayPal).

Yes! Transactions are encrypted and secured through the Shopify platform.
On your bank statement, the payment will appear under the name LE PAPONDU.

An invoice is automatically sent by email when you place your order. You can also find it in your Shopify customer portal.

To preserve our recipe without adding preservatives, our products are flash-frozen. You can find them in the freezer sections of your usual stores!

Product

The Papondu Battu line is a range of plant-based alternatives to whole eggs (beaten egg whites and yolks).

It makes it easy to substitute eggs in any recipe, so you can make omelets, scrambled eggs, and all your favorite dishes without breaking any eggs.

The products are available online or in-store for both consumers and foodservice professionals.

The Papondu Battu line includes three products:

  • The consumer favorite: The patties equivalent to 6 eggs)
  • The larger-size version: A bag of 20 patties equivalent to 20 eggs)
  • Bulk format: 1-kg bag (equivalent to 20 eggs)

The Papondu battu line consists of three products with identical ingredients; only the size varies. It contains seven ingredients: water, oil, salt, fava bean flour for protein, plant-based fiber plant-based improve texture during cooking, a natural flavoring for taste, and a carrot and pumpkin concentrate for color! 

As for the Papondu’s “egg” shape, it’s still a work in progress: we hope to be able to reveal its list of ingredients very soon! 

We use a natural flavoring to give it a taste reminiscent of eggs. And you clearly like it, since at our launch event, 92.5% of the people (200 consumers—thank you all for coming out in such large numbers 💛) who responded to our survey said they were satisfied with the taste of Papondu.

Among the feedback we receive, there’s one comment that makes us especially happy: “It’s even better than an egg!”

Our first product line, Papondu battu, is designed to replace beaten whole eggs (a mixture of egg whites and yolks); therefore, it is not possible to separate the whites from the yolks with this product. 

The good news is that we’re still working on a format that looks just like an egg: this product will have clearly distinct white and yolk parts, so you’ll be able to separate them!

For the Poche format, use about 45 to 50 g of Papondu per egg. This is the ideal ratio to achieve the same result.

For the patty format, each product is portioned to be the equivalent of one egg. We don’t crack eggs, and we don’t give you a headache!

Our products are delicate and should be thawed gently. While the safest method is to thaw them in the refrigerator, those in a hurry can opt for a water bath.

However, you can also cook the patties microwave (2 minutes on the defrost setting followed by 1 minute on the cook setting), in a skillet, or in the oven.

We recommend cooking it to enjoy its best texture and flavor.

Exception: They can be eaten raw, for example in mayonnaise. Keep refrigerated and consume within 24 hours.

Preservation

With a preservative-free formula, we preserve the product's quality through flash-freezing.

Before opening, the best-by date is printed on the packaging.
After opening, we recommend consuming it within 2 days and storing it in the refrigerator.

Before opening, store them in the freezer at -18°C.

Once thawed, store them in the refrigerator at a temperature of +4°C.

It is strongly discouraged to refreeze a thawed product.

Nutrition

Our products are better! After all, everyone benefits, because compared to eggs, Le Papondu is:

  • lower in calories
  • lower in fat (and with better fatty acids)
  • source of fiber
  • high in protein
  • cholesterol-free

Our products have an A Nutri-Score rating and were even awarded the 2022 IdFood Prize in the Nutrition category.

Le Papondu products do not contain any of the 14 allergens required by law to be listed. They contain no soy, no gluten, and no traces of egg (of course).

Our products, rich in natural fiber, are easier on the digestive system than traditional eggs. The light is green!

Environment

Plant-based alternatives to animal protein are known for their lower environmental impact, and we have played a major role in demonstrating this. Since Papondu’s inception, every step of our process has been carefully designed with the well-being of everyone in mind—including our precious environment.

Thanks to our commitment and collaboration with our partner Sami.eco, we are proud to announce an impressive reduction of up to 79% in the carbon footprint compared to traditional eggs. This is a significant step toward a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.

We place great importance on maintaining the quality of our products, which is why we use plastic packaging that provides the best possible protection. However, this does not mean we compromise on our environmental values. Our packaging is carefully selected for its recyclability, helping to reduce plastic waste and protect our beautiful planet.
